Who We Are
A School Built Around Education, Values and Community
APAPER International School, whose name stands for Association des Parents pour la Promotion de l’Education au Rwanda, is an educational institution in Kigali, Rwanda, committed to providing learners with opportunities to develop academically, personally, and socially.
Established in 1985, APAPER has continued to grow alongside the community it serves. Our educational approach combines academic learning with discipline, creativity, character development, and opportunities for learners to discover and develop their talents.
With instruction in English and French, and programs spanning Crèche, Cambridge, Nursery, and Primary, APAPER seeks to provide a supportive learning environment where every learner can grow with confidence and purpose.

Our History
A Journey of Education Since 1985
APAPER International School was established in 1985 with a commitment to promoting education and supporting the development of learners in Rwanda.
Over the years, the school has grown alongside its community, developing its learning environment and creating opportunities for learners to develop academically, socially, creatively, and physically.
APAPER’s journey has also included an increasing focus on innovation and technology. In 2022, the school began embracing technology more strongly as part of its educational development, introducing greater use of digital tools and technology in the learning environment.
Today, APAPER continues to build on its long educational journey while looking toward the future and seeking new ways to enrich the learning experience of its students.
